Most travellers touch down at Kilimanjaro, spend one night in Arusha and rush west to the parks. Stay a day or two longer and the town and its green foothills reward you. Here is the short list.
1. Go on safari

6. Coffee tours and waterfalls
The slopes of Meru and Kilimanjaro are coffee country. A morning on a farm - picking, roasting and tasting - often pairs with a walk to the Materuni or Napuru waterfalls.
Where you sleep shapes all of it. Moshono Hillside sits about 5 km from the city, 12 km from Arusha Airport and 37 km from Kilimanjaro International - close to everything above, yet quiet enough to actually rest. Tell reception what you would like to do and we will help you plan each day.
